NEW FOR 2021
The new SUPER-GRADES PLATFORM is the core technology from which will be generated the polyurethane adhesives of the near future of Talent’s Super-Tech range.
The first two products, the Super-Tech 9 and the Super-Tech 10, are ready and their launch into the market is already scheduled for January 2021.
Like any product with excellent contents, the SUPER-GRADES platform is the result of a long research and development activity, of performance’s comparative analysis of all the most widely used mosaic bonding methods globally and of the co-design with the new electronic / firmware platform of the range of Talent’s high production capacity Sticking Machines.
The flexibility of the mosaic sheets, combined with the excellent adhesion capacity, were the development’s targets of this grade of polyurethane adhesive.
The resistance to deformation of the mosaic sheets during laying in extreme climatic conditions is the element of excellence of this product.
The ROBUST family has been enriched with the brand-new Super-Tech 9 (ST-9), to whose known robustness characteristics we have added new chemical and physical characteristic of excellence, that allow to reduce the volume of glue applied per square meter.
The new features allow to adjust even more precisely the variable length and variable thickness of the glue cords that compose the ‘pattern’ and allow even more immediate and safe handling, at the end of the line, of the mosaic sheets just produced, both in manual and automatic mode.
It is when the irradiation of sunlight enters the transparency of the glass tile that this product protects the cords of glue from the effect of the UV rays.
Also the UV-RETARDANT family has been enriched with the brand-new Super-Tech 10 (ST-10), that introduces in this range the same new performances of the native platform of the ST-9.
That is, less glue consumption per square meter, even more precise adjustment of the glue cords in length and thickness and handling of the mosaic sheets at the end of the line more immediate and safer in every packaging mode, from manual to fully automatic.
Even the ST-10 product, like ST-8, are the only UV-RETARDANT polyurethane adhesives on the market entirely designed and developed specifically for application on industrial mosaics.
ADHESIVES FOR TILES
The REINFORCEMENT pattern, made with crossed beads of glue, prevents the ceramic fragments from falling in case of accidental breakage of the tiles laid with the ventilated facade technique.
The application of a technical backing on the rear surface of the tiles with the technique of applying both mono-component polyurethane in combination with cold bi-component adhesives are the excellence of this range of products.
Covering the face surface of the tiles requires absolute perfection in the “marriage” and bonding of two elements that have a composition, mechanical characteristics and a reaction to different industrial adhesives extremely different to one another.
The laying technique according to the parquet method requires an excellent alignment between the coupled supports, ceramic and wood, and a total bond and sealing between the two contact surfaces.
RELEASE PAPER Manual Handling
The sheets of RELEASE PAPER are the transfer element of the glue cords onto the mosaic tiles and at the same time serve as an interlayer between the mosaic sheets inside the box.
The MANUAL HANDLING version of this product range has a high surface tension, suitable for the manual packing of the mosaic sheets exiting the Sticking Machine without requiring the use of ovens or dryers.

The ROBOT version of the release paper is the ideal choice for those who pack the mosaics automatically with our robotized Packing Machines, both in the Semi-Automatic version and in the Automatic version.

MOLDS FOR MOSAICS
The molds for mosaics are made of thermoformed plastic materials, and are applied on the housing pallets with a simple click, in just a few seconds and without requiring the use of tools.
Once “clicked”, they “copy” the same flatness and geometry of the CNC processed pallets, so it’s just like using molds from a CNC machining operation.
In this way they are mechanically perfect, non-deformable and lightweight, but at the same time they are economical and easy to find in any industrial district.
They also have another great advantage that directly impacts on the alignment quality between the tiles: THE VARIABLE DIMENSION OF THE TILE SLOTS.
Molds of different thicknesses can be produced with the same thermoforming mould, from 0.25 mm to 1.0 mm.
In the case of tiles with a caliper greater than nominal, thinner molds will be used (for example 25.5 mm instead of 25.0 mm), which allow for wider housing slots and thus guaranteeing the planarity of the tiles being picked.
In the case of tiles with a caliper smaller than nominal, thicker molds will be used which create narrower housings (for example 24.5 mm instead of 25.0 mm nominal). In this way the tiles will not be able to rotate inside the housings thereby being perfectly aligned once glued.
By producing different thickness molds with different colours, it will be very easy for operators to choose which ones to use for each tile caliper.
Finally, with the Talent Sticking Machines it is possible to set different recipes combined with different joint widths. In this way, when produced with tiles that generate narrower joints, up to 20% of glue per square meter can be saved.
